Voters Approve Bull Run Watershed Protection Measure

(Portland, OR)  --  Portland voters are saying yes to an amendment adding extra protections for the Bull Run watershed.  Early ballot returns from yesterday's election show Measure 26-204 passing with 87-percent of the vote.  The measure would amend the city charter to restrict public access to the watershed while limiting land uses and activities on city-owned land near it.  The Bull Run watershed provides Portland with most of its drinking water.
