(Portland, OR) -- A man is facing more than two-dozen charges in connection to a carjacking, kidnapping and shooting more than two months ago. A Multnomah County grand jury indicted 22-year-old Carlos Batista yesterday on several charges including two counts of first-degree attempted murder with a firearm. He's accused of stealing a man's car at gunpoint on August 27th and then tying him up and taking him to Mt. Tabor Park. He then allegedly opened fire on two people in the park who approached the car after seeing the owner tied up. Police say he fired at least eight shots, causing more than one-thousand dollars in property damage.
