(Brookings, OR)  --  The U.S. Coast Guard is suspending its search for a 59-year-old man whose boat was found unattended in the Chetco River in Brookings.  The Coast Guard says Dan VanCleave's wife reported him missing Tuesday night after he failed to return home before sunset.  Crews found VanCleave's truck and trailer at the Brookings Boat Basin and later found his boat with its engine idling just south of the Chetco River Jetty.  The Coast Guard says crews found VanCleave's cellphone and other personal items onboard the boat.  The Coast Guard announced they were suspending their search last night following 14 combined searches.
