(Portland, OR)  --  A celebration of life is scheduled next month for the iconic, longtime leader of Portland-based Columbia Sportswear.  Gert Boyle died on November 3rd at the age of 95. Columbia Sportswear announced yesterday they're hosting a celebration of life on December 5th in Portland's Veterans Memorial Coliseum.  Boyle was the face of the company's memorable advertising campaign, "One Tough Mother," which is also the name of her 2005 autobiography.  She ran the company from 1970 to 1988 before handing the reins over to her son, Tim.
