(Eugene, OR) -- A former church leader in Eugene is facing more than a dozen charges of sexual abuse, and police believe he may have had additional victims. The Eugene Police Department says 40-year-old Edward Samuel Thompson was arraigned yesterday on five counts of first-degree rape, five counts of first-degree sodomy and five counts of first-degree sexual abuse. The charges stem from a case involving a child younger than the age of 12. Thompson was serving as a music ministry leader at Christ Fellowship Church at the time of his arrest.
