Police ID Victims Of Bank Robbery Stabbings

(Beaverton, OR)  --  Police are identifying the victims of Wednesday's stabbing by a bank robbery suspect who led police on a chase from Beaverton to Tigard.  Police say 20-year-old Salvador Martinez-Romero stabbed and killed 72-year-old Janet Risch while robbing the Wells Fargo branch in the Murray Hill Shopping Center in Beaverton.  Martinez-Romero also allegedly stabbed Risch's 53-year-old daughter, Debra Thompson, who remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.  Police say Martinez-Romero then fled to the parking lot, where he stabbed 26-year-old Ian Day and stole his car, driving it south to Tigard, where he stabbed 50-year-old Martha Bashir and stole her car.  Day and Bashir have both been released from the hospital.
