(Portland, OR) -- Amtrak train service between Portland and Seattle resumes today following a temporary suspension due to a landslide. BNSF Railway lifted the suspension yesterday afternoon after railway crews cleared the landslide from some tracks near Tacoma, Washington. BNSF issued a 48-hour moratorium on all passenger train rides between Seattle and Portland Friday after the landslide dumped a four-foot-deep, 50-feet-wide pile of debris on the tracks.
