City Commissioner Nick Fish Dies From Stomach Cancer

(Portland, OR)  --  Portland City Commissioner Nick Fish has passed away following a battle with stomach cancer.  Fish's office says he died peacefully in his home yesterday, surrounded by loved ones.  He was 61-years-old.  Fish announced his resignation just three days ago on Tuesday, citing health issues.  He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2017.  Fish served on the Portland City Council for eleven years and headed up the Portland Parks & Recreation Department and the Bureau of Environmental Services.
