(Portland, OR) -- Portland's new chief of police is voicing her support for the use of body cameras. Chief Jami Resch said in a news conference yesterday that she'd like to see the city launch a pilot program to test the use of body cameras by officers. She added that the city is currently at work on developing a policy for the use of body cameras. Resch was sworn in on New Year's Eve to replace former Chief Danielle Outlaw, who stepped down to accept the role of Philadelphia's next police commissioner.
