Police Arrest Woman Wanted For Hate Crime Against Musllim PSU Student

(Portland, OR)  --  Police say they've arrested a woman who was wanted for allegedly attacking a Muslim woman with her own hijab in downtown Portland.  An arrest warrant was issued for 23-year-old Jasmine Renee Campbell after she failed to show up for a scheduled court hearing on Friday.  Police say they tracked her down and arrested her on Monday.  Police initially arrested her on December 13th after she allegedly snatched the hijab off of a Portland State University student and used it to try to choke her.  She then allegedly stripped down to rub the hijab on her genitals and breasts.  She faces charges of attempted strangulation, harassment, criminal mischief and committing a hate crime.
