(Portland, OR) -- A man is facing five years behind bars after stabbing a stranger in Portland's Lloyd District. The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office says a judge sentenced 29-year-old Jordan Douglas Powell-Mathewson this week to five years in prison followed by 36 months of post-prison supervision. Prosecutors say his victim was outside smoking a cigarette on Northeast Weidler Street in August when Powell-Mathewson approached him and stabbed him several times in the stomach, chest and arm. The victim was hospitalized for several injuries.
