(Portland, OR) -- New details are coming to light regarding a suspect accused of stabbing an off-duty fire lieutenant at a bar in southwest Portland. The Multnomah County District Attorney's office says 30-year-old Carroll McClendon was on probation for threatening someone with a knife when he stabbed the fire lieutenant Saturday night at the Kingston Sports Bar and Grill. Police arrested McClendon Tuesday on charges of assault and unlawful use of a weapon. The fire lieutenant was treated at a hospital and is now recovering at home.
