(Eugene, OR)  --  Family members of track legend Steve Prefontaine are paying tribute to his life on what would have been his 69th birthday.  Family members gathered at Pre's Rock in Eugene Saturday to remember the long-distance runner's life.  Prefontaine was killed in a car accident near the rock in May of 1975.  He was 24-years-old.  Prefontaine set several American records during his short career in distances ranging from the two-thousand meters to the ten-thousand meters.
