EPA Awards OR Grant To ID Lead Sources In Drinking Water

(Portland, OR)  --  Oregon is getting more than one-million dollars in federal money to help identify sources of lead in drinking water in schools and child care facilities.  The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced late last week it's awarding a two-point-two-million-dollar grant to Oregon, Alaska, Washington state and Idaho.  Oregon is getting just over one-point-one-million dollars, which it will use to create funding, training and technical assistance to schools and child care facilities to test for lead in drinking water.
