Lawmakers Consider Proposal To Ban Cashless Stores, Hair Discrimination

(Salem, OR)  --  State lawmakers are considering a bill that would both ban hair discrimination and prohibit cashless stores.  House Bill 4107 would require stores to accept cash, because not all people have the ability to have a bank account.  It would also ban hair discrimination in schools, on sports teams and in the workplace. Sponsor Janelle Bynum says having dress codes prohibiting certain hair styles are a king of backdoor discrimination.
