(Portland, OR)  --  Former House Majority Leader Jennifer Williamson is dropping out of the race for Oregon secretary of state.  The Portland Democrat made the surprise announcement yesterday.  The move came just hours before Willamette Week published a story claiming Williamson spent thousands of dollars in campaign funds on airfare to places like Europe, Asia and Hawaii.  Williamson cited the article in her announcement yesterday, calling it a "baseless story unfairly attacking her integrity."
