(Portland, OR)  --  A new exhibit out for Black History Month showcases the history of jazz in Portland.  The exhibit in Legacy Emanuel Medical Center's atrium features hundreds of photos of jazz artists who played in Portland, including Dizzy Gillespie and Ella Fitzgerald.  The photos were submitted by Mike Henniger, who tells KATU he found the negatives in a garage drawer following the passing of his father, Carl Henniger, who worked as a photographer for The Oregonian.  The exhibit is open through the end of February.
