(Hillsboro, OR) -- A Mormon church bishop and driver's education teacher is facing half a year behind bars after pleading guilty to half a dozen counts of third-degree sex abuse. A judge sentenced Paul Douglas Burdick Friday to six months in jail followed by five years of formal probation with sex offender treatment. Court records show Burdick was working as a driving instructor through Portland Community College in 2016 when two teenage girls said he touched them inappropriately. A third student came forward with similar allegations last year. Investigators then reached out to additional former students and found more than a dozen students had similar allegations against him.
