(Gresham, OR) -- A man is facing 20 years behind bars for his role in the shooting of a nine-year-old boy and his mother in Gresham. A judge sentenced 26-year-old Rashad Banks yesterday to 20 years in prison. Court records say he was targeting a man inside the victims' apartment in 2017 when he opened fire, hitting the mother and child instead. The shooting left the boy blind in one eye. A judge previously sentenced 26-year-old Nakiem Brown to five years in prison for his role in the shooting.
