OR Senate Majority Leader Leaving Leadership Role

(Salem, OR)  --  Oregon Senate Majority Leader Ginny Burdick is stepping down from her leadership position.  Burdick tells KATU she plans to step down from the role after the current legislative session.  Burdick has served as Senate majority leader since 2015 and has served in the state Senate for 24 years.  Despite stepping down from her leadership role, Burdick says she does plan to run for reelection.
