(Astoria, OR) -- Police are offering a one-thousand-dollar reward for information leading to the conviction of the person responsible for killing a family's dog in Astoria. The Astoria Police Department says the dog named Saucy was found dead near 12th Street and Jerome Avenue on March 3rd, three days after going missing. A veterinarian confirmed that Saucy was killed intentionally by a human. Police are investigating the death as first-degree aggravated animal abuse, which is a class-C felony. The perpetrator could face up to five years in prison.
