(Coos Bay, OR) -- Governor Kate Brown is blasting the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's untimely move to approve the Jordan Cove pipeline and natural gas terminal for Coos Bay. Brown says it's stunning that the federal government made the decision now, in the middle of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The project still needs state approvals. A clean water permit has been denied and several other key permits don't have active applications. Brown has asked the state's lawyers to make sure Oregon's permitting process is followed.
