(Portland, OR) -- A convicted felon is facing new charges after allegedly getting caught with a handgun during a traffic stop. The Portland Police Bureau says officers pulled over 31-year-old Dennis Milton Perryman on I-205 early last Friday morning after clocking him at 96 miles per hour in a 55 mile-per-hour speed zone. Officers say Perryman then sped off again as soon as the officer approached his window, prompting a short pursuit that ended near Southeast 82nd Avenue and Kelly Street. Police took Perryman into custody for eluding officers and found a loaded handgun along with several magazines while searching his car.
