SCOTUS Ends Oregon's Non-Unanimous Jury Verdicts

(Salem, OR)  --  The U.S. Supreme Court is putting an end to Oregon's non-unanimous jury verdicts.  The court has ruled state juries must be unanimous to convict defendants in criminal trials.  Oregon and Louisiana were the only two states that allowed non-unanimous verdicts.  Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum supports the decision.  She wanted the legislature to send a similar measure to voters.
