(Portland, OR) -- New numbers show more than 80-percent of Oregon's restaurant workers have been furloughed or laid off due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association says a new survey from the National Restaurant Association shows 81-percent of the state's more-than-156-thousand restaurant employees have been furloughed or laid off. The survey also shows four-percent of Oregon's restaurants have already permanently closed due to the pandemic. That number is expected to rise to six-percent within the next month.
