Man Accused Of Hiding In Oregon Child's Room For Month

(Portland, OR)  --  A Washington state man is facing charges after allegedly hiding in an Oregon girl's bedroom for a month, sexually abusing her the whole time. Police say 21-year-old Zacharias Cavasos met the 12-year-old online before traveling to the Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton to meet her.  Authorities believe Cavasos then secretly moved into the girl's room in her home on the Umatilla Indian Reservation, hiding under her bed and in her closet, and came back after being kicked out at one point.  Prosecutors say he admitted to having sex with the girl multiple times before his eventual arrest.  His attorney says he may have an intellectual disability.  Cavasos has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor.
