Two Survive Plane Crash

(Cascade Locks, OR)  --  Two people are recovering from minor injuries after a single-engine plane crashed into the Columbia River near Cascade Locks.  Witnesses say the plane was attempting to land at the Cascade Locks Airfield yesterday morning and it appeared as if the landing gear wasn't down.  The plane nosed toward the river and skipped across the water before sinking.  The pilot and passenger were able to get out of the plane and swam to shore.  They were taken to a hospital in Portland for treatment of minor injuries.
