(Portland, OR)  --  Mike Schmidt is poised to become Multnomah County's next district attorney.  Ballot counts from Tuesday's primary show Schmidt winning the race with 77-percent of the vote.  Opponent Ethan Knight followed with just 23-percent.  Schmidt will replace current District Attorney Rod Underhill, who decided against seeking reelection.
