Businesses Expand To Streets

(Portland, OR)  --  The City of Portland has a new program that allows businesses to expand seating into the streets.  When Multnomah County gets approval to reopen, restaurants will have to operate at half capacity and this will allow them to add seats outside.  The Portland Bureau of Transportation will review applications and determine whether parking spaces can be blocked or whether entire streets will be closed.  Businesses will have to pay for traffic cones or anything else necessary to make the seating area safe.
