Police Make Arrests After Agitators Clash With Police

(Portland, OR)  --  Police say they've made multiple arrests after a splinter group of agitators broke off from peaceful protesters to clash with police in downtown Portland.  The Portland Police Bureau says the agitators gathered near Southwest 4th and Taylor around 9:15 last night and started throwing things at officers while banging on a barricade.  Police declared the situation a "civil disturbance and unlawful assembly" and deployed pepper spray and tear gas.  The police bureau emphasized that the agitators were acting separately from a larger group of peaceful protesters.
