Sentencing Delayed For Jeremy Christian

(Portland, OR)  --  Sentencing is being delayed for MAX stabbing convict Jeremy Christian.  Oregon Court officials announced the delay yesterday, citing the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.  The court says there are multiple parties who want to be present at the sentencing hearing but are not able to due to the pandemic.  Christian was scheduled to be sentenced on June 18th.  A new date has not yet been selected.  Christian was convicted earlier this year of stabbing Taliesin Namkai-Meche and Ricky Best to death and injuring Micah Fletcher on a MAX train in 2017 after they stood up for two Muslim women whom Christian was verbally assaulting.
