Mother Of Assaulted Inmate Speaks Out

(Portland, OR)  --  The mother of an inmate who was assaulted by a Washington County jail deputy during booking back in 2018 is speaking out.  Esther Summerville says she had no idea anything had happened to her son Albert Molino until he returned home in a hospital gown.  She adds that when she asked police about the assault, they lied and told her Molino had tried to bite them.  Surveillance video released this week shows Deputy Rian Alden slamming Molino against a wall and fracturing his skull.  Molino now suffers from a permanent brain injury.  Alden was indicted by a grand jury Friday on a charge of first-degree official misconduct.
