(Portland, OR)  --  The number of first time claims for unemployment in Oregon continues to decline, but it's still higher than normal for this time of year.  Officials say 79-hundred people filed for unemployment for the first time last week.  That's more than double the number for the same week last year.  Oregon's unemployment rate is 14-point-2 percent.
