(Richland, WA) -- A 12-year-old girl remains hospitalized after nearly drowning in the Columbia River. Police say the girl was swimming near the boat dock at Howard Amon Park in Richland, Washington Friday when she went under the water and failed to resurface after several minutes. Witnesses rushed in to locate the child and pulled her from the water. Medics performed CPR and rushed her to a hospital, where she was listed in critical condition on Saturday.
