(Portland, OR)  --  Oregon House Speaker Tina Kotek is condemning the Portland Police Bureau for their use of force during Tuesday night's protest.  The Portland Democrat called the use of tear gas "completely unacceptable" in a letter sent to Mayor Ted Wheeler yesterday.  Kotek explains the accounts she has heard from neighbors and protesters differ from what PPB has said about potential risks to the public and to officers.  Speaker Kotek also says she plans to discuss the response with both Wheeler and PPB Chief Chuck Lovell.
