Portland Resident Remains Hospitalized After Protest Crash In Seattle

(Portland, OR)  --  A Portland resident remains hospitalized after being hit by a man who drove his car into a crowd of protesters marching on I-5 in Seattle, killing one person.  Authorities say 32-year-old Diaz Love is still in serious condition in the intensive care unit at a Seattle hospital following the incident early Saturday morning.  Police say 27-year-old Dawit Kelete drove a white Jaguar through Washington State Patrol barricades on a closed portion of I-5 and swerved into the protesters at high speed, striking multiple people.  Twenty-four-year-old Summer Taylor died from her injuries at a hospital Saturday night.  Protesters were marching to call for an end to police brutality and systemic racism in law enforcement.
