Police Union President Says Local Leaders Should Condemn Protests

(Portland, OR)  --  The president of the Portland Police Association is urging local leaders to condemn the recent demonstrations in the downtown area.  Daryl Turner issued a statement yesterday saying the violence and property damage from the last several nights shows the latest protests are "no longer about George Floyd, social justice or police reform."  Sunday marked the 39th consecutive day of protests.  Portland Police arrested 15 people on Saturday after a demonstration outside the Justice Center was declared a riot.
