Police Seek Suspect Accused Of Firing Gun Near Protesters

(Portland, OR)  --  Police are searching for a suspect accused of firing a gun into the air during a confrontation with protesters downtown.  It happened early yesterday morning.  Video shared on social media shows a white car in the middle of a group of people near the base of the now-removed Thompson Elk statue.  The driver moves away from the group and then pulls out a gun, firing off five or six shots into the air to disperse the crowd.  Portland Police say they had no officers on scene due to the demonstrations in other parts of the city.
