(Portland, OR)  --  A 67-year-old man is dead after being assaulted in north Portland earlier this month.  Police announced yesterday that Jeffery Sloan died from his injuries Friday at a local hospital.  He was assaulted on July 2nd in the 300 block of Northeast Dekum Street.  Police arrested 36-year-old Damian Lucas for the assault on Sunday.  An investigation is ongoing.
