Federal Officers Use Tear Gas On Protesters In Portland

(Portland, OR)  --  Federal agents used tear gas again last night on protesters calling for an end to police brutality and systemic racism.  The Oregonian reports federal officers deployed tear gas, smoke and impact munitions to force protesters away from two federal buildings.  Demonstrators in Portland have been protesting police brutality and systemic racism in law enforcement for the past 50 nights.  The protests were sparked by the death of George Floyd, a Black man who died after an officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes in Minneapolis in late May.
