(Mt. Angel, OR)  --  A Marion County man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home and assaulting her.  Police arrested 30-year-old Gerardo Borrego for the incident yesterday morning in Mt. Angel.  Police say he broke into his ex-girlfriend's home on North Spruce Street just after 5 a.m. armed with a handgun.  Police responded to the area after neighbors called 9-1-1.  Responding officers issued a shelter in place order for the area while a hostage negotiator helped convince Borrego to surrender peacefully.
