(Salem, OR)  --  Salem SWAT took a man into custody following an hours-long standoff.  Police say it all started Monday night after an intoxicated 29-year-old Nicholas McCain left his children home alone.  Police say a friend who lives nearby had the kids stay at his house.  Police say McCain was armed with a gun when he returned home and went to the friend's house to try to get the kids back.  McCain allegedly hit one of the neighbors in the head with the handgun and then went back to his garage.  SWAT eventually deployed CS gas into the garage and McCain surrendered.
