Hundreds Of Protesters Take To Downtown Portland For 60th Straight Night

(Portland, OR)  --  Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of downtown Portland again last night for the 60th straight night of demonstrations against police brutality and systemic racism.  The Oregonian reports about one-thousand protesters gathered at the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse.  Federal officers again responded with tear gas and other crowd-control weapons.  Police say some protesters were launching fireworks toward the courthouse at one point.  Former Multnomah County Commissioner and current City Council candidate Loretta Smith is among those who spoke at the protest.
