Mt. Hood Climbers Rescued

(Timberline Lodge, OR)  --  Two climbers are recovering from injuries following a fall on Mt. Hood.  Authorities say Michelle and Travis Malik were near the 10-thousand-foot level behind Crater Rock Sunday when they fell 700 feet.  Other climbers gave them first aid until rescuers arrived.  Michelle had moderate injuries and was carried down the mountain.  Travis suffered minor injuries.  They were both transported to a hospital.  The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says this is not a safe time to climb the mountain, because of melting snow and falling rock.
