(Portland, OR)  --  President Trump is claiming that Mayor Ted Wheeler is lucky to be alive after he met with protesters.  In a wide-ranging interview on HBO's Axios series, Trump described the scene when Mayor Wheeler met with demonstrators on July 22nd, noting that he had security guards with him.  The President then said Wheeler was lucky to get away with his life after arguing with the crowd gathered outside the federal courthouse.  Mayor Wheeler and his security team remained at the protest for nearly three hours before he and the crowd were tear-gassed.
