Police Declare Riot During Portland Protest

(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Police Bureau says a riot was declared again last night during protests against police brutality and systemic racism.  Police declared a riot around 10 p.m., shortly after about 200 protesters marched from Kenton Park to the Portland Police Association building on North Lombard Street.  Police say protesters were throwing objects at officers and setting off fireworks.  Police in riot gear drove the protesters back.  It was the 74th night of protests in Portland since the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
