ACLU Executive Director Calls For Dismantling Of DHS

(Portland, OR)  --  ACLU executive director Anthony Romero is calling for the Department of Homeland Security to be dismantled in response to their actions in Portland.  Anthony Romero made his case in an op-ed in USA Today, arguing that DHS has too much power.  Romero says what happened with federal officers during protests in Portland has only proven that point.  The plan would have DHS broken up into multiple federal agencies.  Romero argues that would increase oversight and accountability.
