(Portland, OR)  --  Residents in the Santiam Canyon are fleeing their homes as wildfires burn through the area.  The Marion County Sheriff's Office issued Level three evacuations for the community of Mehama east of the Big Cliff Dam early this morning.  The Lionshead fire has burned over 18-thousand acres and is only 31-percent contained.  The Beachie Creek fire has burned over 500 acres.
