(Portland, OR)  --  Oregon is on high alert as dozens of wildfires continue to burn across the state.  The Oregonian reports about three-thousand firefighters are battling dozens of active blazes across Oregon.  Governor Kate Brown says the fires have burned about 500 square miles of land since Monday night.  Brown says the next several days are going to be "extremely difficult," adding she expects Oregon will experience its greatest loss of property and lives from wildfires in state history.
