Trump Praises Police Killing Of Portland Shooting Suspect

(Lacey, WA)  --  President Trump is praising the police killing of a man accused of shooting a pro-Trump activist to death in Portland.  Speaking Saturday on the "Justice With Judge Jeanine" show, Trump called the killing of 48-year-old Michael Reinoehl by U.S. Marshals in Lacey, Washington earlier this month "retribution," saying, quote, "that's the way it has to be."  Witnesses say officers did not yell any warnings or commands before opening fire on Reinoehl while he was walking toward his car.  The director of the NAACP's Legal Defense and Educational Fund slammed the president's comments on Twitter yesterday, writing that the U.S. is "on our way to normalizing the execution of criminal suspects before arrest, trial or conviction."  U.S. Marshals moved in on Reinoehl on the same day that Vice News published an interview in which Reinoehl claims he shot 39-year-old Aaron "Jay" Danielson on August 29th in self-defense because he thought the Patriot Prayer member was going to stab him and a friend.
